When Daddy came back downstairs, he asked Eladia if she liked her eggs. She immediately said, "Austin ate eggs." (i.e., she shoved her doll's face in her plate). As far as Mom and Dad can figure, this was her first real sentence.
And, in an unprecedented move, Eladia DID NOT make Dad look stupid when Mom got home and he told her what happened. Mom asked, "Did Austin eat all of them?" Instead of giving a blank look (as she normally does when Dad tries to get her to repeat something), Eladia quickly said, "yeah, he ate 'em."
