For the last time........ Jumping, Jumping

Grammie Rose and Papa Dave took Eladia to the Ottawa County Fair while Mommy and Daddy were off taunting a mountain. The big draw turned out to be the bounce house. At first Eladia was a little wary of the bounce house because it was enclosed (As with tube slides, she is afraid of anything that is too safe.) So, Eladia then tried the inflatable (open air) obstacle course. It was in the middle of the course that she discovered what the "bounce" in "bounce house" meant.

From that point on, Eladia was bouncing. Obstacle course, bounce house, obstacle course, bounce house.... then, she took off for the 8 ft high inflatable wall. The eighth graders were a little concerned and moved in to spot her. Not that it was needed as Eladia shot over the wall and down the slide on the other side..... bounce house, bounce house, obstacle course, bounce house......... a good night's sleep.

The next day it was all Eladia could talk about. When she talked on the phone to mom, Eladia said, "I had fun jumping, jumping. I had fun jumping, jumping." With dad, it was, "I had fun jumping, jumping. I had fun jumping, jumping. OK, bye." A few minutes later she asked for the phone back and said, "I had fun jumping, jumping. I had fun jumping, jumping. See donkey.... hee haw. OK, bye!"

For about a week, Eladia would tell everyone about jumping, jumping. But by Friday, Eladia was tired of talking about it. The family was at Uncle Ken and Aunt Michelle's having dinner. Daddy tried to get Eladia to tell Cousin Mia about the jumping. He asked, "Did you tell Mia what you did at the fair?" Eladia made no response. "Why don't you tell Mia what you did at the fair?" Eladia still said nothing and continued looking down. "What did was fun at the fair?"

Finally, Eladia caved and said, "I had fun jumping, jumping," and then looked right up at daddy to pointedly say, "OK! I had fun jumping, jumping."

(Well..... excuuuuuuse Daddy!)
