Volleyball

One thing Eladia has to learn about Mommy and Daddy is that they are not good planners, so she needs to be ready to go at a moment's notice. At about 4:30 PM, Mommy and Daddy decide to take Eladia to the (14) K-State volleyball game against (3) Texas. They take showers, change clothes, pack, grab food, get on the highway by 5:10, and pull into the lot in the Little Apple at 6:50. (Yes. If you do the math, the speed limit was not obeyed.)

Although the outcome could have been better, the match was very exciting. (They first set went 30-28 to Texas, who also won the second set, then the Cats won 3 and 4, only to have Texas take the fifth). Eladia loved being part of the crowd, and then running around the Old Barn with other kids after it was over. She also snuck under the tape during between match activities to hang out with a cheerleader.
