She's One!!!!

Just look at how things have changed in a year.

Still cheek to cheek,
but now on their feet.

First, Dad showed the world to Eladia;
now, Eladia shows the world to Dad.

Pictures from Eladia's Birthday Party

"How can this be a phone? It has no buttons! And, what is this cord? Phones don't have a cord! That's just silly.... oooh... but this spinning thing is neat."

After the party, Mom, Dad, and Eladia went to the park. It was Eladia's first car ride facing forward. (Mom and Dad realize they should have gotten the doctor's approval first... but they've been waiting too long for this).

"So this is a park?"

"Let's see. What could I possibly do here?"

On her first swing ride, Eladia started to kick her legs. So, Mom and Dad figured she wanted down. Once again, Mom and Dad know nothing; as demonstrated on her second swing ride, she was really trying to say "higher Daddy, higher." (One would think he could have figured that out on his own, seeing how every kid at the park was saying the same thing.)

Happy Birthday, Eladia! I wish I could have gone to your party. That butterfly cake looks yummy.
